reclaim health offers the highest quality intravenous IV vitamin infusions, using premium, medical-grade nutrients, and equipment. All patients undergo a medical assessment with our GP and Registered Nurse to determine suitability. IV’s are administered by our IV nurse and overseen by GP, Dr. Gu or Dr. Matthew Daly. Treatments take place in our beautifully furnished IV room, under the strictest hygiene conditions.

Intravenous IV Vitamin Infusions are available to adults over the age of 18 although may not be suitable for everyone. Suitability will be determined by the treating doctor following consult and assessment.

+ The process

Following assessment and consultation with our IV nurse, you will be settled into one of our super comfy recliner chairs. Your temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate will be checked. An IV cannula is then gently inserted into the fold of your arm. You may feel a little cold during the IV. This is not uncommon and we provide heating and blankets. Your IV will take approximately 20 mins, although we suggest you allow 45 mins to ensure plenty of time for your consult. A tasty treat, herbal tea, and juice are offered during your drip.

+ New patients

Patient safety is our priority. At reclaim health, we offer all new patients a free comprehensive, no obligation health assessment with our nurse, Alyce Salih R.N. Alyce will take a thorough history and recommend a suitable blend and treatment regime to help you achieve your health goals.

IV therapy is a medical procedure. Therefore, only patients without a significant health history, chronic or acute illness may proceed with an IV on the day. Patients with complex health needs will require recent pathology. Please bring your most recent blood test results (no older than six months) to your appointment. Each patient is unique and has individual requirements. Therefore, you may be referred to our GP for further assessment and pathology.

+ Return patients

Returning patients may be required to have regular blood tests to ensure the suitability and appropriate dosing of IV vitamin therapy.

+ Iron infusions

reclaim health + offers intravenous IV iron infusions where medically indicated. All iron infusions are by prescription only. Please follow the steps below to make your appointment for infusion:

+ Chiropractic care for the treatment of acute and chronic pain and injury

Our spine is the central pathway for communication. These pathways are important as they encompass all aspects of our body, namely muscles, connective tissue, organs, and bones. Simple daily activities can cause misalignments in your spine, which can interfere with your central nervous system.

Chiropractic is the fastest-growing allied health profession in the world. Throughout this change, the cornerstone of care has not changed. Chiropractors aim to return normal function to the human body orthopedically, neurologically, and energetically. No two people are the same. For this reason, your chiropractor will take an individualised approach to every diagnosis and treatment. During your first appointment, your chiropractor will take a thorough health history. They will also look at presenting symptoms.

Your initial consultation will include

  • Thorough history
  • Orthopedic tests
  • Neurological tests
  • Postural assessment
  • Muscle strength tests (if appropriate)

These tests provide accurate information regarding the function and balance of your body. Once the examination is complete, we will recommend the most appropriate treatment to bring you back to health and vitality.

  • Initial consult 45 mins $150
  • Review consult 15 mins $79

Acupuncture is part of an integrated system of primary health care, known as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Traditional Chinese Medicine is an effective, natural, and increasingly popular form of health care employed by people of all ages and backgrounds. Using a holistic approach to understanding health and disease, acupuncture focuses as much on the prevention of illness as on the treatment itself.

+ Qi

Traditional Chinese Medicine operates on the principle that disease results from a disruption in the flow of Qi and an imbalance in the forces of yin and yang. When we are healthy, an abundant supply of Qi flows through the body’s meridians – a network of invisible channels through the body. When our Qi is blocked or in short supply, the body fails to maintain harmony, balance, and order, and disease or illness follows.

Are you stressed, overworking, eating badly, or burning the proverbial candle at both ends? In addition to disease pathogens, weather and environmental conditions, common lifestyle factors and bad habits can also disturb your natural flow of Qi. TCM practitioners can diagnose disturbed Qi, resulting in illness and disease.

+ Acupuncture

Chinese Medicine and acupuncture have an established role in helping manage the symptoms of specific conditions or supporting the effectiveness of treatment, often as part of a multidisciplinary approach. Acupuncture employs a holistic approach, linking body, mind, and emotions.

+Treating chronic neuropathic pain and disability, naturally.

Lyftogt Perineural Injection Treatment® (PIT) was first discovered and later significantly developed by Dr. John Lyftogt (pronounced “Liftoff”). PIT consists of a series of small injections immediately under the skin targeting painful areas where the nerves are sensitive, with simple and natural substances. The substance Dr. Lyftogt uses is a buffered D5W (dextrose 5% in sterile water) with a neutral pH of 7.4.

Dr. Lyftogt was the first person to use D5W to effectively treat chronic neuropathic pain and disability. Dr. Lyftogt found that treating painful nerves is an effective way to treat and extinguish chronic neuropathic pain.

In initial studies Dr. Lyftogt published, the treatment was named Subcutaneous Prolotherapy, and later, Neural Prolotherapy, abbreviated as NPT. The confusion with traditional Prolotherapy (a significantly different treatment) resulted in the change of these names to the more descriptive term, Lyftogt Perineural Injection Treatment®. Some Americans refer to this treatment as PSI (perineural subcutaneous injections), or PNI (perineural injections). Anyone using these terms is in fact referring to Lyftogt Perineural Injection Treatment® with D5W, as discovered and developed by New Zealander Dr. John Lyftogt.

Lyftogt Perineural Injection Treatment® is a safe and effective treatment for painful conditions due to sport and occupation or other chronic non-malignant pain-related issues.

Lyftogt P.I.T.® involves first making an accurate diagnosis of the cause of pain, which is usually due to an injured or non-healing sensory nerve causing pain and inflammation.

Every treatment aims to extinguish the pain. After the first treatment pain relief may last for a period of four hours to four days. Repeated treatments (6-8 sessions) are usually done weekly, resulting in the gradual reduction of the overall pain, with the aim of complete resolution – a zero pain score – and allowing the return of full function. Success rates vary between 80-100% depending on the condition. For most conditions recurrence is unlikely unless re-injury occurs.

The treatment is extremely safe; D5W is used as an IV solution in hospitals worldwide. Being mostly a subcutaneous treatment, and using only a half-inch needle, harm is minimized. There may be some bruising. No allergic reactions have yet been observed. Infection is extremely rare, calculated at about 1 in 300,000 injections. The only adverse reactions reported are temporary histamine-induced welts at injection sites and extremely rare corn allergies. There are no reported issues of dependency.

If you are wondering if this treatment will work for you, consult one of the doctors listed in the “Where to get Lyftogt PIT” list on this website.

Dr. Lyftogt says: “Pain is an enormous unmet need. Current treatment guidelines with antidepressants, antiepileptic, and analgesics targeting Central Nervous System sensitisation benefit less than 25% of patients (Canadian pain society 2013). Opioids as a last resort are now creating an iatrogenic epidemic of opioid dependency worldwide”.

“RCTs with D5W have been published for caudal epidurals for chronic low back pain, Achilles tendonitis, and carpal tunnel syndrome. We have published on 201 Achilles tendons with a 92% success rate at 12-month follow-up. Similar results have been published for chronic knee, compartment syndrome, elbow, and shoulder pain”.

Remedial massage focuses on treating injuries, muscular aches / pains, and postural imbalances. When muscles and tendons become damaged or impaired, knotted, tense, or immobile, the body responds with stiffness, aches, and pains. Remedial massage provides a gentle healing treatment using a variety of strokes and pressure to relieve and rebalance the body.

Our remedial massage therapists Natalie Turner, Tamrin Stuart and Dr. Lisa Ooi are career practitioners. In consultation with the client, they will customise your treatment according to your condition and preference for gentle, strong, deep, or shallow pressure.

Myotherapy is the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of muscle pain and soft tissue injuries and conditions. Myotherapy is a highly-effective, holistic approach to rehabilitation and pain management. Acute sporting or occupational injuries and postural conditions are common complaints that benefit from myotherapy care. It can also be used for pain management of chronic musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders, in addition to the pain associated with muscular overuse, misuse, or disuse, as well as helping to prevent injury.

From your initial consultation, you can expect:

  • A thorough patient history
  • Observations of spinal and peripheral movement and gait
  • Postural observations and assessment
  • Palpation of musculature, connective tissue, and joint function

+ Clinical orthopedic and neurological testing

Techniques used by myotherapists:

  • Dry needling or trigger point therapy
  • Spinal mobilisation
  • Myofascial release

As with all massage techniques, myotherapy is used to increase blood flow. Myotherapy also promotes lymphatic movement, delivering healthy nutrients and oxygen to the injured site and removing wastes and toxins. In turn, this reduces pain and muscle spasms and helps with a number of conditions including sciatica, ligament sprains, recurrent hamstring strains, osteitis pubis, facet joint sprains, neck spasms, rotator cuff tears, work-related injuries, and tennis / golfer’s elbow conditions.

Cannabis has medicinal effects such as pain-relieving, anti-nausea and anti-inflammatory properties. Furthermore, when cannabis or cannabis products are used in a controlled way, these medicinal effects can be achieved without the feeling of getting ‘high’.

Studies report that medical cannabis has possible benefit for several conditions. State laws vary in which conditions qualify people for treatment with medical marijuana. If you’re considering marijuana for medical use, check your state’s regulations.

Depending on the state, you may qualify for treatment with medical marijuana if you meet certain requirements and have a qualifying condition, such as:

  • Severe pain
  • Chronic pain
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Multiple sclerosis and muscle spasms
  • HIV / AIDS
  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  • Epilepsy and seizures
  • Glaucoma
  • Severe nausea or vomiting caused by cancer treatment

The Nasal Specific Cranial Technique was originally developed by Dr. J. Richard Stober, D.C., N.D. who specialised in the technique from the 1940’s until his death in 1987. The technique first used to treat infants and children suffering from head trauma from birth, for example cerebral palsy, hearing loss, autism, ADHD, etc. Since that time Dr. Stober’s treatment has become the standard for dynamic cranial adjusting.

Dr. Craig Buhler learnt the technique directly off Dr Stober in the 1970’s and spent much time with him in his revolutionary practice. Unfortunately Dr. Stober died having never written anything down and many of his advanced techniques where lost.

Dr. Tyson Aldenhoven learnt Nasal-specific technique / craniofacial release (CFR) directly from Dr. Buhler. Dr. Buhler has mentioned that if he could only keep one technique of chiropractic it would be this technique which is testament to the potential power of it.

+ How craniofacial release (CFR) works

Balloon’s are inserted into the nasopharage and expanded three dimensionally and in so doing adjusting the cranial plates and providing the area with an immense amount of proprioception.

Nasal-specific technique / craniofacial release (CFR) has great success with improving:

  • Breathing disorders
  • Sinusitis
  • Snoring
  • Sleep apnea
  • Deviated septums
  • Migraine headaches
  • Vertigo
  • Facial pain
  • Facial paralysis
  • Facial paralysis
  • TMJ disorder
  • Teeth grinding
  • Post-concussion syndrome
  • Seizures
  • Neurological disorders

Dr. Tyson Aldenhoven is the only practitioner in Australia (as far as we know) that has been trained by a practitioner who was trained directly from Dr. Stober.

Naturopathy adopts a holistic approach to assessing and treating a patient’s health condition. A naturopath peels back the layers of presenting issues to identify the underlying cause of your health status. These predisposing factors are then addressed and realigned, moving you towards optimal health and wellbeing.

Your initial consultation will include a comprehensive health assessment. Our goal is to gain a thorough understanding of your medical history and health concerns. We will assess your diet and lifestyle factors including sleep, work, stress, emotional status, exercise, and methods of relaxation.

Where indicated, we may use non-invasive diagnostic techniques including tongue and nail analysis and iridology.

Naturopaths at reclaim health + are skilled in interpreting pathology and medical test results, so please bring these with you. We may request additional tests or refer you to our GP for medical follow-up. Data collected forms the basis of any assessment and treatment plan.

An individual therapeutic plan will be created. Treatment may include dietary and lifestyle advice, herbal tinctures, supplements, and additional professional support. The client’s health goals, intention, and budget are factored into treatment plans.

  • Initial consult 60 min $185
  • Review consult 45 mins $105

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy that can diagnose, treat and manage musculoskeletal conditions. Osteopathy utilises a range of different treatment techniques, including dry needling, soft tissue massage, HVLA, muscle energy technique (MET), joint mobilisation, stretching, taping, and exercise prescription.

These techniques are combined with a comprehensive tailored rehabilitation program to deliver optimal outcomes for patients.

+ The conditions that osteopaths treat include:

  • Low back pain
  • Sciatica
  • Headaches
  • Neck pain
  • Shoulder and arm pain
  • Sporting injuries
  • Hip knee foot and ankle pain
  • Working from home pain
  • Tendinopathies

+ Gait analysis

Gait or walking is a necessary human function and the act of walking on two legs in many ways defines us as humans. On average we take 6,000 steps per day so it is easy to see why gait can be associated with pathology.

If you are a runner or someone with low back, hip, knee, or ankle pain, then a comprehensive analysis of your gait may be the best way to identify movement patterns that are associated with your pain.

A gait analysis consists of:

  • Video recording of both your walking and running technique
  • Comprehensive analysis of your walking and running technique using state-of-the-art technology
  • A tailored rehabilitation program made according to the findings in the analysis may help decrease your pain and help you reach your goals

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) consists of two elements: plasma, or the liquid portion of blood, and platelets, a type of blood cell that plays an important role in healing throughout the body. Platelets are well-known for their clotting abilities, but they also contain growth factors that can trigger cell reproduction and stimulate tissue regeneration or healing in the treated area. Platelet-rich plasma is simply blood that contains more platelets than normal.

To prepare a PRP injection, General Practitioner Dr. Firas Al Ali will take a blood sample. The sample is sealed and place it in a centrifuge. This device spins the blood at a high speed, separating out components of the blood from the platelets, leaving concentrated plasma .

Dr. Firas will then extract this plasma and prepare it for administration.

+ What is a PRP injection?

After creating platelet-rich plasma from a patient’s blood sample, that solution is injected into the target area, such as an injured knee or a tendon. PRP injections are administered and guided using ultrasound. The idea is to increase the concentration of specific bioproteins or hormones, called growth factors, in a specific area to accelerate the healing process.

The mechanism behind PRP injections is not completely understood. Studies show that the increased concentration of growth factors in platelet-rich plasma may stimulate or speed up the healing process, shortening healing time for injuries, decreasing pain and even encouraging hair growth.

+ What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) used for?

PRP is used for a range of conditions including:

  • Tendon, ligament, muscle, and joint injuries
  • Tendinitis e.g. Tennis elbow
  • Post surgical healing
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Inflammation reduction

+ Fees

  • Initial 30 min consult $170 to determine suitability for treatment
  • PRP procedure 60 mins $400
